Live Canon International Poetry Prize 2024

Deborah's poem 'When I argue, I forget to be me(ek)' was longlisted for the Live Canon International Poetry Prize 2024, judged by the wonderful Abigail Parry.

As one of the 50 longlisted poems, it also is published in the 2024 Anthology, available now from Live Canon.

'When I argue, I forget to be me(ek)' is a sonnet to celebrate cleverness, an extensive vocabulary, and the joy of constructing a good argument!

This poem will be wearing several different outfits, as in addition to its publication here, it is also being included in a Macmillan Young Adult poetry anthology (more on this soon) and it is one of the poems in Deborah's forthcoming debut collection.
